The spiral marks on the bowl's exterior and the symmetry indicate that it was shaped by throwing clay on a wheel.

Description

The red earthenware body of this bowl is covered with buff slip, excluding the foot ring. A stylized bird, ornamental motifs, and border designs were done in purplish-brown, red, green, and yellow under a colorless clear glaze.
