Description

Unlike his father, the shin-hanga artist Hiroshi Yoshida (whose work is also on view in this exhibition), Hodaka Yoshida preferred abstract subjects to traditional landscapes, and he carved and printed his own blocks, often experimenting with new techniques, continually enriching his superb craftsmanship.
