Description

This jar is one of the rare porcelain examples from the Goryeo period (918–1392). In Korea at that time, both celadons and porcelains were produced in the same kilns, explaining why this porcelain jar bears a greenish blue glaze.
A tan ceramic vessel features a globular body tapering toward a narrow circular base and short upright rim. Faint horizontal ridges crease the matte surface, while a glossy, pale green glaze drips from the rim. These streaks flow down the side, contrasting with the earthy buff clay. Dark specks, chips, and small pits mark the exterior, including a worn patch on the right where the surface layer has eroded.
