A dark, weathered wood and lacquer sculpture depicts a seated Buddha on a multi-tiered pedestal within a vertical, arched panel. The Buddha, with a rounded head protrusion and raised right hand, is surrounded by smaller figures clustering in tiers. Five miniature figures sit beneath an ornate canopy above him. Two stylized lions rest at the pedestal's base. The worn black surface, mounted on a stand, features deep recesses between the carved figures.
