A vertical hanging scroll depicts a landscape using broad, dark gray ink washes. A towering cliff dominates the left, capped with spiky evergreens and tiny houses. Minimalist brushstrokes define the scene; faint washes create three distant, hazy mountain peaks above a pale river where two tiny boats drift. On the right, a craggy ridge holds small dwellings. Japanese calligraphy and a crimson seal occupy the upper left corner against a vast, empty expanse.
