Transparent blue coloring was a staple in mid-century Swedish glass design.
This bowl’s bright blue coloring paired with its inverted shape was designed to capture and reflect light upon the surface. The boldness of form and color are signature aesthetic elements popularized in mid-century Swedish modern design. The same color palette can be seen in textiles of the period as well.
