A horizontally oriented photogravure with soft textures depicts a field of flowering plants in muted brown and gray tones. In the lower half, blurred stalks lead toward stone houses with steeply pitched roofs. Center, the buildings cluster before a dense forest. To our right, white laundry hangs on a line. Above the dark trees, a thick, hazy sky fills the upper third of the atmospheric composition.
