Description

Occasionally Dehner introduced color into the prints she made at Atelier 17 in New York. To create this impression of Mountebanks with Charms, the artist inked her engraved lines in black, then applied red ink to her printing plate using a stencil. The ragged white shapes in the final composition are unprinted white paper.
