A rectangular, slightly glossy tan stoneware box lid has a dense, impressed herringbone pattern forming a wide border around a smooth central panel. Inside the panel, two abstract reddish shapes with dark brown spots and outlines sit diagonally. One appears toward our lower left and the other toward our upper right. Slanted, thin dark brown lines cross the surface near these shapes.
