A vertically oriented watercolor painting with loose, layered washes depicts a central tree with a pale, tan trunk and deep shadows. Gnarled branches reach toward the edges against a bright blue sky. Dabs of yellow and green foliage cluster around the trunk, while the foreground consists of dark green and brown gestural strokes. A signature is written in dark ink in the lower right corner.
