A horizontally oriented etching depicts twelve rectangular sections. Six central panels feature a bird's-eye view of a coastal siege, showing cities and naval fleets. Two vertical columns feature text, while the remaining sections at the top and bottom form decorative horizontal borders containing heraldry and miniature scenes. The monochromatic composition uses this grid-like layout to present a panoramic, segmented narrative of a historical military engagement.
