Sungsoo Kim has distinguished himself as an emerging talent in 21st-century studio glass production. This work is a profound study in the link and interplay between poetry and the soul. Each component represents a stanza of verse, presented together in a harmonious unit. With its alternating white and black scheme, Kim also makes an overt reference to the art of calligraphy, further linking ancient Asian art forms in an entirely new composition.
