A dark wood and lacquer sculpture depicts the standing Buddha Amida, a deity with long earlobes, downcast eyes, and a white dot on his forehead. Hair formed by neat rows of knobs covers his head. He raises his right hand and lowers his left, his thumb and pointer finger pressed together. Numerous flowing folds and remnants of gold leaf drape his body atop a multi-tiered lotus base. The figure has a weathered, dark texture.
