This work combines photo tex panels representing the working conditions in Mexican maquiladoras, a kind of manufacturing plant in which duty-free imported elements are assembled for export, with documentation of the display of the photomontages on the inside and outside of a cargo van that the artist drove through politically charged regions of Tijuana and college campuses in San Diego.
