Pintor uses “straight” or unmanipulated photography to capture the imaginative and surreal in Argentina’s urban and rural environments.
Pintor’s themes for series are chosen intuitively. He discerns a trait or visual problem in a scene before him, and pursues it in different places and environments, resulting in seemingly diverse images belonging to the same series. In Horizontes, the unifying factor is that all the views include a horizon line.
