In addition to his artistic career, Hippolyte Lalaisse taught at France’s École Polytechnique for nearly four decades.

Description

This album features sketches of a variety of subjects by Hippolyte Lalaisse, including nude studies, portraits, and horses. The images may have been intended to serve as source material for working in lithography, the printmaking technique for which the artist was best known.
