Family and friends described this man as “a big teddy bear.”
At 6 feet 6 inches tall and 350 pounds, Mike “The Bear” Taliferro (1961–2006) could be an imposing figure, a trait he used successfully on the football field and acting in films and television shows. Taliferro played from 1984 to 1987 for the Washington Redskins and teams in the United States and Canadian leagues, then became an actor, and in 2009, a director and producer. The year this photograph was shot, he portrayed a carjacker in the film Bad Boys.
