Gift of The Print Club of Cleveland 2020.414
This print is named after a Cleveland couple who are friends of the artist.
Ron Rumford’s color screenprint and intaglio print, Susan and Dean, was commissioned by the Print Club of Cleveland as its annual publication print for 2020. Rumford’s work is inspired by the mid-century work of printmakers in the circle of Stanley William Hayter. The composition of Susan and Dean is comprised of overlapping blocks of gestural line and shape layered with the textures of color and combined printmaking techniques.
