Did you know?

The composition of two upright rectangular geometric forms impressed on paper in shades of ink creates the effect of three dimensionality and light falling through a gap and convey the message that time is as fugitive as light.

Time Lapse belongs to a series of prints with compositions of large geometric forms built up in painstakingly applied and layered impressions of black ink. The two upright rectangles here leave a gap between them creating the effect of light falling through them. Thus, work and title convey the message that time is as fugitive as light. Qu Zuochun received his MA from Guangzhou Art Academy.
