Did You Know?

For a small town, Santa Fe ranks as a major art center in the American West, home to numerous galleries and many artists.

Description

A friend of Noggle described the subject of this portrait as a “well-known character and an artist in Santa Fe, who was very vain.” The woman has a drink and cigarette in one hand and with the other, leans a bit on the knee of the man on the sofa. He seems a bit discomfited by the entire scenario.
