After the end of World War I, André Kertész left the army and returned to the job he had before the war as a stockbroker.

Description

Kertész and his future wife, who also worked at the stock exchange, dreamed of quitting their office jobs and going into agriculture. This tranquil image of life in bucolic Budafok, a neighborhood in Budapest known for producing wine and champagne, makes that dream understandable. The buildings shown are wine cellars.
