A vertically oriented gum tempera and ink painting on tan paper depicts a man seated cross-legged in profile. Within a red and black border, he wears a white turban, pleated tunic, and two long black bead necklaces. Facing our right, he has a red and white mark on his forehead. A fringed fan sits beside him, and a rolled cloth rests in the lower left corner. Repeated lines define the figure.
