Did You Know?

The Sanskrit text reads left-to-right across the entirety of the page before starting a new line.
A horizontally oriented gum tempera and ink painting on a palm leaf strip features three dense blocks of black text arranged in six uniform rows. Two small circular holes are punched through the weathered tan material between the blocks. The leaf has frayed, uneven edges and a small character on the far right. The meticulous script contrasts with the aged texture and horizontal grain of the long, narrow rectangular support.
