Ink and gum tempera on a horizontally oriented, textured tan palm leaf features three distinct sections. Dense, rectangular blocks of black script are spaced across the surface, punctuated by two clean, circular binding holes in the blank intervals. The dark, uniform lettering contrasts with the light, grain-filled background. Tiny characters mark the far right corners, while the leaf's natural fibers run horizontally beneath the precise, dark grids of text.
