A horizontally oriented palm leaf of warm tan features three rectangular blocks of dense, dark script in gum tempera and ink. Two circular holes punctuate the spaces between text blocks. On the far left and right edges are small, isolated characters. The script is tightly packed and rhythmic, set against weathered, irregular edges. This narrow composition emphasizes the repetitive, rhythmic quality of the writing within its traditional, elongated format.
