A horizontal palm leaf features three rectangular blocks of dense black script. The characters march across the tan surface in uniform, blocky rows, punctuated by two circular holes between the columns. A short, solitary line of text sits beneath the leftmost block. The leaf tapers slightly at its weathered dark brown edges. Across the entire surface, a fine horizontal fiber grain is visible, providing a textured background for the ink and gum tempera writing.
