Black ink and gum tempera on a long, horizontally oriented palm leaf features three distinct rectangular blocks of script. Two circular holes pierce the textured tan material, separating the sections. The leaf has rounded ends with frayed edges. The uniform script creates a rhythmic movement across the fine grain, contrasting with the smooth surface to form a continuous horizontal flow across the ancient material.
