A horizontally oriented tan palm leaf features three rectangular blocks of dense black script, written with ink and gum tempera. The elongated strip has rounded corners and a subtle horizontal grain. Two small circular holes punctuate the material between the text blocks. Small vertical inscriptions appear in the far left and right margins. The dense script creates a textured rhythm across the surface of the aged strip.
