One side of a horizontally oriented beige palm leaf features dense rows of black script, written with ink in three rectangular blocks outlined in red. Two circular binding holes punctuate the leaf between the text sections. Small characters and numerals mark the left and right margins. The leaf displays a natural horizontal grain and slightly irregular, worn edges. The uniform, compact script fills the blocks across the long, narrow strip.
