A horizontally oriented palm leaf features three dense blocks of black script on a warm tan surface. The uniform characters form tight, rhythmic rows across the long page. Two small circular holes for binding punctuate the space between the columns. Small notations and numbers appear in the margins at the top and sides. The narrow format highlights the continuous flow of ink across the natural, textured grain of the leaf.
