Ink and gum tempera mark a horizontally oriented palm leaf with rounded, tapering ends. Three rectangular blocks of dense black script occupy the pale tan surface, punctuated by two small circular holes. Horizontal rows of characters are tightly packed, creating rhythmic masses of dark text across the organic material. The leaf's natural grain remains visible at the margins where the blank surface frames the three dense script sections.
