A horizontally oriented tan palm leaf features three rectangular blocks of dense black script. The fine, uniform rows of text are separated by two small, circular holes. Along the top left edge, the material is frayed and irregular. The dark script is written in gum tempera and ink, contrasting with the smooth, natural texture of the light brown leaf and creating a rhythmic, structured appearance across the long horizontal surface.
