A horizontally oriented manuscript of black ink and gum tempera stretches across a warm tan palm leaf in three dense, rhythmic blocks. Orderly horizontal rows of script are punctuated by two circular holes piercing the blank spaces between text columns. The long, narrow material displays uneven edges and rounded ends, creating a segmented composition where the dark ink contrasts sharply against the organic, fibrous surface.
