Black ink and gum tempera on a horizontally oriented palm leaf features three rectangular blocks of dense Indic script. Each block comprises six rows of dark characters that follow the horizontal grain of the warm tan support. Two circular holes pierce the leaf between these text sections. The light brown surface serves as a textured backdrop for the meticulous calligraphy, which repeats in rhythmic intervals across the length of the narrow support.
