Gum tempera and black ink on a horizontally oriented tan palm leaf features three dense rectangular blocks of script. The long, thin strip shows weathered, uneven edges and two small circular holes centered in the blank spaces between the script. Tiny characters sit above the middle block. The dark, intricate lettering contrasts with the muted, textured surface of the leaf.
