Gum tempera and ink on a horizontally oriented, tan palm leaf folio feature three dense rectangular blocks of black script. Two circular binding holes punctuate the grain between the text sections. Small characters mark the margins against the muted, textured surface. The folio's long, narrow form is defined by rounded, irregular edges, framing the script in a rhythmic, linear arrangement across the warm, organic medium.
