A horizontally oriented palm leaf folio features three dense blocks of black ink and gum tempera script on a tan, natural fiber surface. The uniform characters march in tight horizontal lines, creating a rhythmic, textured pattern. Two small circular holes punctuate the space between the sections, interrupting the flow of text. The dark ink stands out with geometric precision against the aged, irregular edges, conveying a sense of steady, ancient movement.
