Gum tempera and ink on a tan, horizontally oriented palm leaf features three rectangular blocks of dense black script. Two circular binding holes punctuate the spaces between these blocks. Small black characters mark the left and right margins. Multiple horizontal lines of closely spaced, geometric script fill each block. The leaf has uneven, frayed edges, with the dark ink contrasting sharply against the textured, organic surface.
