A long, horizontal palm leaf features three dense blocks of black-inked script on a muted tan surface. The characters are tightly arranged in rows, divided by two small, circular binding holes. The organic material displays a textured quality with slightly frayed, uneven edges along the bottom. Small characters mark the far left and right margins. The elongated composition highlights the repetitive, rhythmic flow of the ink against the natural, weathered support.
