Dark black ink and gum tempera are clustered in three dense, rectangular blocks of script on a horizontally oriented strip of fibrous, warm tan palm leaf. Two precise, circular holes puncture the space between the text. The characters are thick and linear, framed by the leaf's slightly jagged, irregular edges. Tiny annotations mark the margins, creating a rhythmic layout across the weathered, organic surface of the manuscript.
