A vertically oriented black ink lithograph on cream paper depicts a child from the shoulders up, head tilted down and to our right. With eyes downcast and mouth slightly open, their face is framed by dark, textured hair held by a light bow. The child wears a garment with a ruffled collar. Sketchy, dark strokes form an atmospheric background, and a handwritten signature is visible in the bottom right corner.
