A vertical hanging scroll, bordered by patterned gold fabric and brown silk, features a landscape in muted ink washes. Dark, gnarled brushstrokes form a tree extending over a valley shrouded in hazy mist. A figure is portrayed through brief brushstrokes on a steep, rocky path. Below, a winding river flows through the mist. The upper half remains mostly empty, punctuated only by a small red seal on the left.
