A horizontal handscroll depicts a panoramic landscape in muted ink and color. Rolling green mountains and clusters of dark-leaved trees surround small buildings nestled near a wide, brown river. Distant blue peaks recede toward the upper edge. To our left, panels of black calligraphy on paper precede the painting. To our right, another section of text and a faint ink drawing of a branch conclude the scroll.
