A vertically oriented woodblock print depicts two armored men in a struggle against a dark blue background. At the top, Kamakura no Gengoro leans toward our left, while Torinoumi Tasaburo lies on his back below. Their teal and tan-striped armor dominates the composition, bisected by a long, curved sword. Vertical rectangles of Japanese calligraphy sit at our top right and middle left, framing the dense, intricate patterns of the scene.
