A vertically oriented pigment painting depicts Saint John the Evangelist, a man with light skin tone and a brown beard, centered within a decorative silver-colored frame. He wears brown robes and gazes toward our right, his right hand raised toward his chest. The frame features scrolled patterns with green and blue enamel and a rope-textured halo. Fine cracks mark the painted surface, and small holes are visible along the frame's edges.
