A horizontally oriented ink and wash drawing on aged cream paper depicts a soldier in armor seen from behind. Standing at the left, he holds a tall staff in his right hand. In the middle ground, sketchy brown lines form smaller figures, including one kneeling. Faint outlines in the background suggest arched architecture. The sketch uses light washes for shadow, and the paper is marked with scattered brown spots.
