A vertically oriented oil portrait depicts a woman with pale skin tone from the chest up, body angled left and neck elongated as she looks out at us with dark eyes against a muted green background. Her dark hair is gathered back, her small lips pressed in a straight line. She wears a black dress with a matching ruffled neckline and small gold hoop earrings. A signature is in the lower-left corner.
