A horizontal rectangular stoneware lid is partitioned by a thick off-white grid into six irregular panes. The glaze shifts between deep chocolate and warm reddish-brown. Raised creamy lines, textured like coarse sand with dark speckles and pits, create a rustic geometric pattern across the weathered face. Two vertical bands and one horizontal bar define the sections. The dark, earthy glaze contrasts sharply with the grainy, speckled dividers.
