A horizontally oriented oil painting with thick, textured brushstrokes depicts a landscape under a vast, muted pale yellow sky. In the lower third, dark brown and green earth leads toward a distant strip of water. Clusters of dark trees frame the left and right sides. Near the trees on the left, tiny figures sit beside a small white tent. A heavily worked, clouded sky fills the upper half.
