A horizontally oriented oil painting depicts a wide waterfall. In the foreground, large dark brown rocks contrast with the glint of churning water rendered in thick swaths of pale green. To the right, a steep cliff rises, textured with broken brushstrokes of green, gold, and red foliage. In the hazy background, the falls pour over a ledge, their spray blurring into a pale sky where diffused light creates an even, warm glow.
